It's been a while. Hope everyone's doing well. Since my last post, we've been keeping busy around the household :- we are gifted with six eggs a day now.
- one of my christmas cactus bloomed; wish it would have waited til Christmas.
- finished all my knitted Christmas gifts.
- witnessed a four-day wind and rain storm the likes I have never seen before.
- we still miss Tabi... a lot.
- helping Luc and Liette getting their new home ready for moving day.
But the best thing since my last post ...
... my brother got his Gift of Life on November 5th. He is still in the hospital but doing extremely well (fingers crossed).I'll be away for a few days. See you when I return.

Did he receive a transplant? That's wonderful! My in-laws have a unique situation- my father in law was a perfect donor match for his wife, my mother in law. She's had her transplant for just over 11 years, and is continuing to do splendidly. We'll have to chat more about this when we finally get together!
Yes Sherrie, he got a kidney from a total stranger. It's such good news for us but still one can't help but be sad that there's a family out there grieving the loss of a loved one. We are all so happy for him.
On another note, for the past couple of years Ten Thousand Villages was at the Beacon Church before Christmas to see their goods. Do you know if they're coming this year? I haven't been to the market since it's at the church. We've been so busy lately but it's on my list.
We must get together... Christmas tea maybe :-)
wonderful news - my MIL also received such a gift and I was able to donate to my husband - 4 years ago - doing great. We really have to thank those like you who have helped raise money for research. Best wishes for your brother. Nancy LeB in Bridgewater
