A little piece of heaven

We had a small family gathering at my brother's house tonight so we could all spend some quality time with our sister Carol that's visiting from Ontario (she's on the left). On the right is my sister-in-law, Annette. We had drunken chicken with all sorts of goody salads. For dessert - 3 kinds of pie and a blueberry coffee cake.

Left to right - my sister's husband, Paul; brother Ken and Dave.

A few random pictures from outside their home. I love coming here, it's such a peaceful spot in the forest. They live on a lake... a little piece of heaven, what else can I say.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week.

What a beautiful home but I must comment on picture #2. Was Dave bored? Love that you caught him in mid yawn!!! B

Hello Barb - he, he, he... you made Dave laugh with your comment. He is soooooo tired. He's been playing music almost every night for the past week and it will keep going until Wednesday. If he's not playing with his usual band, it's a reunion of a former band or playing in nursing homes for the residents (part of the Acadian Festival activities). Thank goodness he love's playing music.

I am so missing Nova Scotia lately. I wish I had been there for the get-together with everyone. NEXT YEAR.
I love that place too. So much thought, and love have been put into the making of that home and you can feel it when you are there.

That is a beautiful and serene looking home. Love that echinacea it looks pretty , the bugs have attacked mine this year , it doesn't look good at all.

The quilts are wonderful in your last post. The quilt you put together will be great for picnics and will bring many special memories each time you spread it out.

~ Blessings ~
