Summer knitting...

Yup, I've started a summer knitting project... dishcloth. I found an easy pattern (basket weave pattern) and off I went, knitting away. I am a beginner at knitting and at sewing but if I had to make a choice on just one it would be knitting. It's like meditating, so it's a good practice for me.

We are busy at home - we are putting in hardwood floors in the living room and in the den so the rest of the house is pretty much a disaster with stuff from these two rooms all over the house. But his doesn't bother me at all. Plus, the end result will be soooooo rewarding. I will post pictures when everything is finished and in place. Plus, we are going to paint the living room another color and buy a new sofa set. So it could be a while before I post pictures.

Don't you just love handknit or crocheted dish clothes.I like your varigated yarn.

Thanks for the reminder, mine are getting old and I need to make some more.

The dishcloth looks wonderful , the colors look so natural and fresh.
I don't knit or crochet , but one of my goals for 2008 is to learn to crochet. I want to make some dishcloths and some bags for holding veggies.
Your homemade cleaners were interesting , may have to give that peppermint cleaner a try.

Barb - those are the only kind we use and actually when I say "we" I really mean Dave. He's the dishwasher at our house.

joyceann - thanks for dropping by. As I've said before, I'm not an advanced knitter but I enjoy what I do.

The peppermint oil that's in the tub scrub smells heavenly.

I love variegated yarns; they always make such lovely projects. That yarn you are using Vickie looks sooooooo soft. I think I might have to start a cotton yarn knitting project or projects for the summer months.

Colleen - it is very nice yarn. I got it at Michael's. They have a nice selection.
