Smoke signals... hoping for rain

I might be the only one in the village hoping for rain but we sure could use a few drops. Gardens are begging for moisture and I'm pretty sure the water level in our well is getting low. After Dave left tonight to go play music with his band, I made a fire in the pit and just sat there watching the fire, listening to the birds and just plain enjoying Life.

Hello Vickie

Do you have many problems with your well - has it ever run dry?

If theres any rain to spare could you send some down under for us please :))

Take care
Cathy

Hello Cathy. Thanks for dropping by. Our well is as old as our home (approx. 150 years old) so it's not very deep. It runs dry every Summer, we have to have water delivered in the well. Some Summers we buy 5 truck loads and others only 2, it all depends on how much rain we get.

Sure thing... if we have any to spare - down it goes.

I love your cute little chiminea, so pretty.
Fires outside are great.

What an absolutely lovely way to spend an evening. We cannot have outdoor fires where we live (against code), but I sure would love to be able to, just so I sit and smell the lovely woodsy fragrance of a fire. B

Colleen and Barb - I love outside fires (actually I love our wood burning furnace) so I guess I love the warm feeling of a wood burning fire.
