Solstice

Hope you all had a wonderful first day of summer. It was also my second day of a one-week vacation. I could not have asked for better weather (it was a repeat of yesterday), deep blue sky, bright warm sun and a tiny little breeze helping to keep the horseflies at bay. Today I had an oatmeal breakfast, did two loads of laundry, had leftover arugula pesto pasta for lunch from pesto I made and froze last summer and a mug of cold ginger lemon drink, dug, weeded and transplanted in the flower gardens, made this minus the tofu for supper (it is one of Dave and I's favorite these days), we went thrifting this evening and now I am ready for a good night's rest. Tomorrow will be much of the same !

Am currently reading The Birth House by Ami McKay, it takes place in your neck of the woods in the early 1900s.

There is even reference to people with your last name in it :) It is pretty good so far. If not obvious, it is about a mid-wife.

@Kim - yes I heard about that book but haven't read it. My nice (which is the other commenter here) read it if I remember correctly. There are 250,000 LeBlanc's in the world and a lot of them are in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
