Chicken coop :: the girls will have names

The six baby chicks that are arriving next month will each have a name starting with A (representative of Grade A Chicken). No, we have no plans of eating these birds. Names that have been seriously considered and chosen with care. These names are traditional to our Acadian heritage (we take our chicken naming seriously; it took Dave and I two weeks to come up with six names).

Inside the coop - the beginnings of the nests.

You are probably thinking ''how in the world is she going to know who is who''. I have a plan ! but first I need to find myself six tiny little metal bracelets in different colors.

Bits of yarn with coloured beads would be easier :)

I trust Antoinette will be the smartest one of the lot? Don't be expecting a lot of eggs from her, though.

Hi TP. He, he, he. I'm sure Antoinette will be witty and the leader of the six. Thanks for commenting. V. PS : I might go swing on your tire.

Tire-swinging is not usually recommended for those with back troubles. Have a beer instead!

If this back pain thing keeps up i'll need a six-pack. I hate ''HATE'' having to keep still in this beautiful weather. I have potatoes and onions to plant.

Hey ma'am- I don't know if you permit yourself drugs, but Robaxicet can sure help. Also, I have a wee "Dr. Ho" TENS machine that you're welcome to borrow.
