An hour ago while Dave was hammering away in the chicken coop.
To give you a perspective on the location of the chicken coop in the gardens... you see it way back there. I take my chickens seriously ! After two weeks of coming up with names for the soon to arrive girls, we have six names picked out and they are good ones.
Happy Friday tomorrow and I'll speak to you over the weekend where I will reveal the names of the girls.P.S. I planted spinach tonight in one of those boxes.

Your backyard looks great , so serene. Looking forward to hearing the names , which reminds me that I haven't named the last five hens we got (shame on me). I guess Curious J and Little Froggy can help me name them tomorrow. They're on Spring break , so they've been staying with me this week. I've been so busy I haven't been blogging.

The six names we have picked out will sound strange to some because they are old generation french names but still fun.
I am sooooooo happy to be getting chickens again. And so grateful to Dave for building the coop.
This is the first year I'm planting my spinach this early but spinach is a cool weather crop.

Yes Barb it is a Buddha. I have quite a few in the gardens as well as inside our home.
