Always room for improvement

Although I try to be as healthy (physically and mentally) as possible there is always room for improvement. So far 2008 has not been too cooperative with me on the flu side. This week was my second cold since mid-January. Up to this time I bragged that I did'nt catch a cold for the past 10 years (honest).

So with that said, I've dusted off Dr. Weil's Spontaneous Healing and will read it cover to cover... again, because I think I might have forgotten a few important things he points out.

To get my body physically on track after this horrible cold I am trying to get rid of this week I will concentrate on eating mostly vegetables and fruits and drinking a lot of water for the next few weeks. I will also resume my twice-daily walking routine.

Have a good Friday tomorrow everybody !

I'm with you. 2008 has been a year to re exam my own health. I have been focusing on eating mostly fruits and veggies and exercising more often. I do feel much better when I live this way. Good for you!!!!

Thanks Sebrina. Don't we just feel like a million bucks when we have our health !

Don't forget to load up on the orange juice and green tea with honey. The latter very good if you have a cough.

Also don't forget to not over do it too much, a nice restful weekend in order to let your body fight off the cold might be the ticket - get hubby and son to take of you :)

I have to say that your photo of the veggie dish just looks absolutely full of nourishment and it is so appealing -- colour is what I seem to be attracted to right now.

I think everyone's bodies is craving fruits and veggies right about now after this long winter. I know mine is.

Dr. Andrew Weil Sprontaneous Healing was one of the first alternative health books that I ever owned; he has some wonderful advice, but don't forget to listen to your own body's inner voice - it knows what it needs more than any "expert"!

Walking is wonderful!

Hi Vickie, sorry to hear you haven't felt well! I know what you mean about bragging about not being sick...and then getting sick! I try not to do that anymore because I hate being sick. How on earth does that happen anyway!

Your veggie dish looks delish! Hope it helped you on your way to health!
