This year I made pesto with my garlic scapes and ''it is delicious''. We ate some and I froze a few containers for next winter when I start dreaming of spring and my gardens. I can't believe I did'nt do pesto with my scapes before this year...

Drying garlic

Some yummy yarn I bought on my recent trip to Moncton when Dave and I visited our daughter and SIL

We planted garlic for the first time this year, and it's now drying. Plans are to expand the garlic bed this fall!
this was the first year that i planted garlic too --- and i will definitely be growing it from now on. i will have to try some pesto with scapes next year.
Oh yes Colleen, you have to try pesto with the scapes. It has a stronger garlic-y taste. I just love it to death.
he he he, Sara and Colleen - you both are on the same page with your garlic planting.
