This evening we went to the old mill to collect a few buckets of sawdust to put around our raspberries and blueberries. This keeps the soil moist in dry weather. The way things are going I think we are up for a dry summer.

Below - a beautiful scene across from the mill.

Pictures are beautiful. I didn't know about the sawdust thing ... I usually use cedar mulch. I agree we probably need something this year, news on the street is a hot and dry summer. Already I'm thinking about winter. I really dislike the hot, humid weather and so does my body.
Barb - I am not a fan of hot, humid weather. Actually, I can stand hot but not humid... makes me very cranky :-)
Beautiful pictures. I love how they have restored the old mill.
Colleen - the mill was restored into a museum. Next time you visit we should go for a tour. They run the saw every day at 3 p.m. during the summer.
