Every woman needs a secret place to escape to... for me it's at Frenchy's.

Nest of eggs
Here are the Easter Eggs I made from all natural homemade dye on Sunday. The three dark red were soaked overnight in beet juice, yellow is tumeric, blue is red cabbage and the pink one is beet juice for an hour. This was a very fun project.
I love the colours of the eggs. We dyed eggs last year with homemade dyes for the first time and what a difference it makes in the colours. Just beautiful! We will probably wait until the weekend of the 15th-16th to do ours, or maybe next week when the girls are home for march break...yeah!
I have two grown children and grandmother to a little boy. I prefer a simple, low-maintenance lifestyle. I try to give more than I receive. I believe everything happens for a reason. Our home reflects who we are.
My mantra "Celebrate Life"
A chain of used clothing stores found throughout the atlantic provinces of Canada. Started by a man from my area, Mr. Edwin Theriault. You never know what you'll find, there's something for everyone, clothing for the whole family, major brand names, books, footwear, drapery, brick a bracks, etc. I love it so much, can't help myself from going - I'm addicted to Frenchy's.

This was a very fun project that I intend to repeat next year with different colors. I want to experiment with greenish colors and purple.
Perfectly beautiful color on those eggs Vickie!
I'm looking forward to seeing the results of your green & purple experiments.
Very cool - I will have to try this with the kid soon. And yes I am going to comment on everyone of your posts now :) I'm like that.
